This reverse painted portrait of Andrew Jackson features a young Jackson in military dress. It measures approximately 10 3/4" x 8 1/8" by sight and appears to be in the original frame. It is likely this portrait was done in France or New Orleans following the War of 1812 given the French spelling of Jackson's name
