23-004 a, 23-004 b. A coconut shell which was lath-turned and formed into a tea caddy. An uncommon form with the top portion cut off and made into a hinged lid. The caddy has 4 brass ball feet, brass face mounted hinge and hasp. The piece measures 3.5” diameter, x 4.5” high. A lead weight forms the interior base. Ca. second half of the 19th century, it is in good condition.
