23-198. An unusual and well-made early America snuff box constructed of a horn body with top and bottom plates made of antler and attached with hand cut screws. A carved bone arrow-shaped closure pivots to secure the pouring hole. The box measures approximately 3” x 2” x 0.75”. American, dating from the late-18th to early-19th century.
