24-021. A treen ink well carved in the form of an old worn sock in an old worn shoe. This is a delightfully whimsical, and extremely well executed piece of carving. Complete with holes and all. The sock folds back to reveal a glass ink well. Made of walnut and glass, it measures approximately 4.75” long x 2.25” wide x 3.5” high. It is in very good condition and dates to ca. 1880.
