24-026. A gray and black toned watercolor on laid paper of a languid young woman sitting by a grave marked “In Memory of Wooster” framed on a mat board and in a gold panted frame measuring approximately 5.75” x 6.75”. Found in PA and dating from ca. 1780. Note: David Wooster was an American general who died at the Battle of Richfield CT, 1777. He was the Commander of the Provincial Militia.
