24-094. An ink and watercolor Reward-Type Fraktur for john Moyer dated Sept. 16, 1836. This is his birth date. It is a view of a multi-tone blue, red and yellow urn of flowers with a small central heart. The two outward stems are a fleur-de-lis abstract design with vibrant flowers at the top. Within the urn ”John Moyer, Born Sept 16, 1836” at the bottom is reference to the Bible verse “Ps 51vs 3”. Although unsigned, it is likely the work of a Schoolmaster known as “Later Berks Co. Artist”. Found in Ephrata PA, ca. 1836.
