This 19th century American bird whistle is made of yellow clay. It rests on a circular base and stands 5 3/4" tall. It is 6" from tail to beak and approximately 2 7/16" across the back. There are some minor edge flakes around the base. There is a hole in the bird’s chest that appears to be in the making. The whistle’s sound changes when you place your finger over the hole.
