24-190. PA Redware Chamber candle holder. Made of a modified, sliced, handled pot with an inserted candle socket. Coggled edges, impressed rings, tooled foot rings and a strap handle. Blackish/brown manganese lead glaze, measuring approximately 7”h x 5.25” diameter. The base is marked “Made by I.S. Stahl, June / 28, 1948 / weather / very cloudy and / warm”. [Isaac Stahl, the last of the 19th century trained Potters, and the last of the 19th century PA Potteries; Powder Valley, Lower Milford Twp. Lehigh Co. PA].
