24-250. A hand-blown flint glass, hourglass form, double burner, Burning Fluid lamp with a sharp pontil. Composed of heavy, thick glass and in very good condition, measuring approximately 6.25” to the top of the wick tubes, 2.8” wide at the base and 1.75” at the hourglass waist. American, ca. 1840. This is an example of an early/mid-19th century fluid lamp. It has all the plusses; hand-blown heavy, quality glass, in an unusual and elegant form.
