This is an amazing piece of handwork. Very elaborate. it is an unfinished piece. However, all the most difficult work has been done. All the background is unfinished to the right side. One has to wonder why this beautify work was never completed. My guess that this is work done by the indigenous peoples that inhabited North Western New York state. The Tuscarora's. They sold and traded much of their work at places like Niagara Falls and other popular destinations. Guessing the piece is 1880s to 1900. The actual work measures 20" X 8"
