25-006. An early spiral-form "Courting" candlestick, handcrafted from wrought iron. It features a finger or chair hook and an adjustable candle socket. The piece is mounted on a round base supported by three formed legs and secured with a distinctive ram’s horn nut. Discovered in New England, its exact origin is unknown, but it dates to the late 18th to early 19th century. In very good condition.
