This is a unique mold from the region of Pennsylvania known as Pennsylvania Dutch. It is an early "springerle" or gingerbread/cookie mold. Hand carved in the pleasing motif of the lamb. It is early 19th century and made from chestnut wood which is unusual. It has usual wear for a used kitchen tool and 200 years old. It measures 12" X 3 1/2."
