25-036. An early Dutch brass, round base candlestick, measuring approximately 9” high and 6” in diameter. The candle socket includes two pierced holes designed for removing spent candle nubs, and the well-formed baluster stem is threaded to screw into the base. It was found in New England and dates to ca. 1650. The candle stick is in good as-found condition with some nicks and dings consistent with age and use, and all original.
