Rare Gg Leykauf Pewter Flagon

This rare German pewter flagon is marked on the handle Gg Leykauf. Given that Leykauf’s business was completely destroyed during WWll, it likely this flagon is at least 80 years old and could date back to the fourth quarter of the 19th century. The body is accented with oscillating vertical lines. The thumbpiece has the cast image of a man’s head that is approximately 5/8” high. The flagon is approximately 6 1/4” high not counting the thumbpiece and 2” across at the top. The base is 3 3/4” across. The There are some minor dents to the sides consistent with age and usage. Otherwise, the flagon is in good used condition.
