This is a circa 1820's chamberstick, whale oil lamp or chamberstick, from a home in Bath, Maine that I bought years ago. It's a favorite, and in excellent condition with nice patina as shown. The brass work is solid and the finger hold long and comfortable. It measures 2 1/2"H X 5 1/2" to end of the finger hold.
