This is a large, maple wood 7 1/2" X 3 3/4" Vermont butter mold. After the butter was set in this mold it could be sliced into pieces, and smaller butter pieces could be used to set various designs into each piece. This one is in excellent condition with brass hinges and opens and closes nicely. Ready to be used! No finish has been put on this piece.
