This is an early 19th century, double whale oil lamp; or, even fat can be used as a fuel. It would have had a wick most likely hand made. It is hand wrought iron and is complete and in very good condition. It measures 9 1/2" H X a 4" diameter bowl. It hails from North Carolina.
