19th Century Measure in Windsor Green

Unusual form straight-sided measure with two lap jointed bands secured with iron nails. The coopered measure has tightly joined 1/2" thick pine staves with a solid wood bottom that is mortised into the staves. The measure is constructed just like a bucket but never had a handle or a lid. The outside of the measure is an old, original Windsor green paint that has oxidized to a near black color. Superb condition. 12 1/2" diameter x 6" tall. You will probably never see another one, especially in this condition.
