25-028A. A Pennsylvania chalkware hollow bird-form bank. A dove-like bird perched on a raised block with a twig design embossed on the front. The bird has a coin slot in it’s back. The remints of the original tan, brown and yellow paint decorations are found on the feet, beak and eyes. The wings have a feather textured design. The bird measure approximately 9.75” h x 3.25” wide at the base. It is in very good condition, and dates from the second half of the19th century.
