I have been around antique lighting for awhile. Every now and then something comes along that is exceptional. This victorian gas lighting fixture shade is one of them. It is large; has an amazing fluting ridge with an extraordinary blue/teal color. The mid section designs are wheel cut and extraordinary with stars surrounded by swirling hoops. I would love to se the fixture this shade graced! The shade fitter size is 3 7/8" (4") It is 5" H. The width at the rim is 8 1/2" The fitter end is close to perfect with very small and minor wear as shown. The glass is very clear.The ruffles are perfect. Just a wonderful piece of art glass made by somebody important. Fresh to the market. I can ship this shade safely.
