25-131. A very good Pennsylvania tin and punch decorated double candle sconce. Punched with a large central tulip with its stem and leaves and flanked on each side by a heart with curved bottom. Both the tray and candle sockets are cleated and not soldered. All of the edges are rolled, except for the scalloped top. There was no solder used in construction, it is all cleated tabs. The sconce measures approximately 13” high x 7” wide x 3” deep. The color is original. It can be used as a table lamp or mounted on a wall, via mounting holes in the center of each heart. A early Pennsylvania piece, dating from the early 19th century. In wonderful condition without any breaks or repairs.
