A Sailor’s Whimsey carved from one solid piece of pine, in the form of a long rectangular cage containing 2 wooden balls, with chain links at each end of the cage, terminating in “duck’s heads” curved hooked ends. Measuring 20” long x 2” square. Great patina, American and dating from the 19th century. Compleat with a contemporary black metal stand.
