25-183. A miniature folk art watercolor portrait of a young child with a basket. Done on paper, it depicts a full-length portrait of a young child with brown hair wearing a red and black dress and holding a basket. Presented in a period rosewood frame with gilt liner, it measures approximately 4.75"h x 4"w (sight), and 9.25"h. x 8.5"w (framed). American and dating from the mid-19th century. This lovely portrait is in excellent condition retaining bright, vivid colors. Provenance: From the Lifetime Collection of the late Deb Fisher, Lebanon, Ohio.
