25-184. A very good carved bone BAS relief, profile portrait of a man, dressed in a cap and coat, with shoulder length hair, set into the lid of a brass snuff box. The oval portrait and decorated snuff box are in very good original condition, without damage or repairs. Possibly French and dating from the early-19th century. It measures approximately 1" h., 3 3/4" l.
