26-015. A hand-wrought iron tabletop rush/candle lamp. A plier and spring mechanism is supported by two legs which from the iron stem. The stem functions as part of a plier-and-spring mechanism that opens and closes the holder. The two curved legs are supported on a circular base. The entire lamp measures approximately 18"high x 4.5" in diameter at the base. American and dating from the mid-18th century.
