This is by far the best hand done shovel I have seen, It is early with a wonderful carved handle. At the spade it has early formed iron work and secured with rose head nails. And, it has great patina as shown. It is American hickory and in very fine condition especially for a used tool. On the wall it would be art! The shovel is 46" tall, 10 1/2" wide at the spade head
