This is an unusual piece of candle lighting. Fully Closes For Easy Travel. When Opened There Is a Place For a Small Candle, Matches and a Weight. I Don't Know the Purpose of the Weight, So the Lighting May Be For a Different One. A Vent Is Pulled Out At the Top When The Candle Is Lit. The Candle You See Here Is Not Old. The Matches Are From the Civil War Era but Are Not Original To the Piece. Closed Measures 5 1/2" To the Top Of the Hanging Loop. Open Measures 7" To Top OF Hanging Loop.
