Charmingly Hand Drawn and Colored In Shades Of Blue, Tannish Yellow and Gray With Intertwining Vines On the Pillars and Arch With A Keystone Under Which Is A Drawing Of An Eagle In Flight. This Record Begins With Frederick Platto, Born In 1795 and His Wife Bashebe Chapman Who Was Born In 1802. They Had 5 Children and After Her Death in 1828, Frederick Married Caroline Thorn in 1829. These Dates Are Off Since a Child Was Born the Same Year His Wife Was!! In Any Case Frederick Had 10 Children. His Son Alex Created and Signed This Record in 1856 While He Was Living In Syracuse. My Brief Research Revealed Frederick Was An Early Settler Of Schenectady Where He Became a Successful Building Contractor. At Some Point the Family Moved To Manlius and Then To Albany Where He Built Several Government Funded Buildings. The Record Appears To Be In Its Original Frame Decorated In Brownish Red Paint and Black Stripes, Probably to Simulate Tiger Maple. Measures 13 1/2" X 10 1/2".
