This is a potato rake. This tool was used commercially and on the farm for gathering potatoes and other root vegetables. Used in the 19th C. as well as later into the 20th. It is made of formed heavy wire with a spring handle. It has a great decorative look. It was a manufactured item although originally blacksmithed. Great form and perfect for kitchen decor and it can be used in the garden today and it really works! This tool measures 15" L X 7"W X 2 1/2' H. Very good condition and fun!
