Make Do Clamp on Candle Stick

Quite a nice and unusual Make-Do candle light. Made from a clamp that has a screw shaft that turns to tighten the base to the edge of a table or shelf. The base appears to be Maple wood in Green paint. What appears to be a fragment of a hogscraper candlestick has been inserted into the top of the clamp. Great form and function. the base light overall measures 8 inches. The condition is excellent. Good provenance. American make do light from the 19th. century.
