A wonderful example of a mid 19th. century Vinegar Painted Treen Canister. The Vinegar paint is so perfect and complete on this treen jar. The jar measures 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches. The lid fits best one way due to shrinkage thru the years. Please note the little notch that is out on the lid and the secured shrinkage lines. The provenance on this piece is excellent and the painted surface makes this treen jar a real collectors piece. More photos available. Price: sold
