A very nice example of an early early to mid 19th. century American lantern. This lantern is quite primitive in form and surface, well used and loved. I love the square proportions, the smoke cap and the fact that the candle cup is inserted into the base of the lantern. The surface is all original and has aged beautifully. Pegs hold the top and bottom boards in place. The condition is excellent. The lantern measures 7 x 6 3/4 x 9 1/4 inches. A nice example of an American Primitive Lantern. Price: $995.00 + shipping
