This is an exceptional floor light. An American early to mid 19th. century wooden floor light. The light has a two candle light cross bar that raises and lowers on the spiral shaft. This lights proportions are just lovely. It size fits in small spaces. The base is more refined than usual and would fit just about anywhere. The floor light measures 27 3/4 inches tall, the candle bar measures 8 inches and the base measures 7 1/2 x 8 3/4 inches. I believe the wood is Maple and there are two metal candle cups. The tin candle cups show wear from years of use. Please note the small shave area on the shaft. No harm but I picture it just for clarity. American floor light.
