This is quite an unusual iron floor light. Looks like a typical iron light base but this light has a removable loom light. At the top of the iron shaft there is a loop which holds a candle light. The candle light hooks into the hole. The light can be removed whenever needed or the light can be used as a traditional floor light. The floor light has three penny feet. The light measures 28 1/2 inches tall. The removable loom light measures 11 inches and each penny foot extends about 6 1/2 inches. Early 19th. century American iron floor light.
