As table boxes go, this one is so nice for several reasons. One being the original Red painted, well worn surface and the other being the amazing form of this piece. The table box is squarish and chunky all at the same time. It offers a great look and has a utilitarian form. Early square nailed construction. Circa mid to late 19th. century, American table box, carrier. The table box measures 14 x 10 1/2 x 4 3/4 inches to the handle. the sides of the box measure 3 inches. All in all a great piece with wonderful character.
