For sure an early 19th. century example of a candle dryer. This piece is quite lovely in form and in the day was a very utilitarian item. A wooden candle dryer. The conical wooden center shaft has its original Red painted surface. On the lower end of the shaft are 12 hooks for hanging candles. At the top of the shaft is a well proportioned iron hanging hook. The candle dryer measure 16 1/2 inches longand the iron ring measures about 3 inches. The condition is excellent. American candle dryer.
