Sunderland Pink Lustre Pottery Mug. This lovely mug has a gransfer print of a three masted sailing ship on one side and verse on the opposite side. Circa 1840-1850. Pink Lustre is characterized by a splashed or mottled pink lustre glaze with black transfer-printed nautical motif. These pieces were traditionally made for sailors or as decorative homeware. The mug is in excellent condition with only a few nibbles around the rim. It measures 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches.
