An outstanding wall box having great form, original painted surface and American–possibly New England. The form is just striking having the two ears that have a wonderful lollipop as the hanger. The surface has its original dark Spanish Brown, dry surface. The construction is with early square nails. The wall box measures 12 x 6 1/4 x 10 1/2 inches. The overall condition is excellent. Circa 1820-1840.
