A very nice example of a late 18th. century rush nip/candle holder. The light has a beautifully shaped wooden base that has its original dark painted surface. The iron work on the rush nip and candle light are just excellent. Especially the candle holder, it is a full blown design. More classic is form and very pleasing. The light is in excellent condition, most likely American, New England. It measures 9 1/2 inches tall and the base measures 4 x 3 3/4 inches. P
