A very nice, late 18th. to early 19th. century lamp tidy. The tidy has a simple design and form. To me it looks to be New England, definitely American. The tidy has dark Spanish Brown painted surface. The tidy is in excellent condition. These tidy’s were used to elevate the lighting devise so that the light diffuses better. The tidy measures 9 1/2 inches tall, the top measures 2 3/4 inches in diameter and the base measures 3 3/8 inches square. Simplicity at its finest. Betty lamp not included.
