This is an early and unusual form for a spoon rack. A thick holding shelf is mortised into the back of the backboard that securely has slots that hold 24 spoons. The backboard is nicely shaped. the spoon rack has the best Red painted, original surface. This is an American spoon rack from the early part of the 19th. century. The spoon rack measures 17 1/4 inches tall, 7 3/4 inches wide and 9 1/4 inches deep. The condition is excellent and the Red paint is nice and dry.
