Can’t seem to ever shake off my love for early lighting pieces and this example is exactly why. This is a fabulous, primitive table light. So simple in design, it is the simplicity that makes it so special. Basically you have two candle holders. One with a short socket and one with a pressured iron opening that allows for a full sized candle to sit in and rest on the base. These iron candle holders are secured to a very primitive piece of wood, and there is a carrying handle, that’s it. Nothing fancy but pure primitive, country. The light comes with two wonderful early tallow candles. The condition is excellent given the age of the light and the light is pure American country. The table light measures 7 1/2 inches tall and 4 1/4 inch diameter base. With the candles the light stands 12 inches tall. Certainly a unique piece of American lighting.
