This is such an outstanding wall Box. First of all it is made of that thick Pumpkin Pine wood that has a buttery smooth surface. Great design on this box having the beautifully shaped wells. There are two wells with arched design. The box is constructed with square and rosehead nails. There was damage to the original hanging hole but somewhere during its life a magnificent, large square nail was somehow fitted into the broken space to make a new hanging element. Great make-do craftsmanship. American, 18th. century, Pumpkin Pine, double well wall box in excellent condition. The box measures 16 3/4 x 11 1/4 x 6 1/2 inches.
