A 19th C. wooden soap holder in original light buttercream colored paint. Constructed of a robust block of walnut wood with deeply chamfered edges and mounted on an iron L bracket via iron screws. Retains a beautiful as-descended surface with pleasing color. Overall excellent condition with an old mended age fissure in the rear being consistent with age and use. American. Ca. 1875. Measures 5 5/8″W x 4 3/4″T. The iron bracket could be removed without damage to the dish should you prefer to use it for table top use.
