This is quite a nice and unusual sand weighted candlestick. It is 19th. century, Black painted surface that I believe is original. The candlestick measures 20 inches tall and the diameter of the base is 5 1/4 inches in diameter. The push up works just fine. There is a small dent on the side of the candlestick, see photo.
