This is a very nice early 19th. century iron floor Light. The light has one extended arm with a single candle socket, the other arm is retractable and has a forked iron protrusion to hold splint or rush. The retractable arm extends to 16 inches. You could stick a candle on it if you wished as it is two small upright spikes. The overall condition of the light is excellent. Three iron feet that are leaf shaped add distinction to the light. The floor light stands 44 inches tall and the spread on the feet is 14 inches. American iron floor light. Early to mid 19th. century. Excellent provenance.
