This lovely sconce shelf is of the 19th. century, circa 1840-1850. A fine American lighting shelf usually found in tin or iron. The wooden examples were usually made my local craftsmen. The lighting sconce is in original condition with great original unpainted surface and patina. The condition is excellent. Made of American native Pine. Normal use and wear is expected so there are some burn marks from use. The lighting sconce measures 12 inches tall, 7 inches across and 4 1/2 inches deep.
