This is an absolute beautiful, large jug. Measures about 11 inches tall, about 8 1/2 inches at the wides diameter, 5 inches diameter across the opening and about 9 inches from spout to handle. Just a GRAND size. It is tall blue ground jug with a ship and anchor decoration. It is cold decorated, after firing. Showing a ship on one side, with large floral decoration on the other side and floral decorations adorn around the top and bottom of the jug. The anchor decoration is under the spout. No restorations, star firing crack to the base. This wonderful jug dates from 1780-1800. This jug is outstanding and makes quite a statement with its size and color and subject.
