This is a wonderful piece. So much going for it. It could quite possibly be late 18th. century, if not, then early 19th. century. The wear to the paint, the square and rosehead nails all lean to early and lovely. The stand has its worn original Red/Brown painted surface. There are two large, 3/4 inch head Rosehead nails on the front that hold the Bible in place. The nail to the right is original and the one to the left was missing and I replaced it. The stand measures 44 x 14 inches and cants from back to front, 6 3/4 to 4 inches. The condition is excellent. The stand comes complete with Bible
