A very nice 19th. century painted desk box. Attractive because of it size, it measures only 11 x 7 1/2 x 5 1/4 inches and it has the best Black, dry painted surface. Simple in construction, true country charm. Constructed with small square nails. The condition is excellent. It come with excellent provenance and is an American desk box. Please note the little piece of wood that is missing on the edge.
